Propecia Finasteride for balness treatment

Finasteride, marketed as Propecia by Merck & Co, is an antiandrogen which acts by inhibiting 5-alpha reductase, the enzyme that converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. Propecia Finasteride in 1mg doses is the first and only FDA-approved pill demonstrated to treat male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) in men only.

Testosterone contained in the bloodstream will often combine with an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase. As a result, a sexual hormone known as DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) is formed.

When a man begins to lose his hair, follicles begin to develop DHT receptor sites. As a result, the hair follicles, under attack from DHT, begin to decrease in size and then simply cease to grow. When Propecia UK is administered, it works to inhibit the formation of DHT. The use of Propecia Finasteride on a regular basis, can serve to reduce the level of DHT, to the point that the adverse effects will reside.

Propecia UK is a 1mg Finasteride pill that reduces the male hormone DHT, responsible for hair loss. Subject to grow hair in roughly 50% of men after 1 year and 66% of men after two years and prevent further loss in 86%.

Propecia Finasteride 1mg dose is to be taken once daily. Propecia UK may be administered with or without meals. In general, daily use for three months or more is necessary before benefit is observed. Continued use is recommended to sustain benefit, which should be re-evaluated periodically. Withdrawal of treatment leads to reversal of effect within 12 months.

Side effects such as allergic reactions, like rash, itching, hives, and swelling of the lips and face, have been linked with Propecia Finasteride. However, these are rare. A small proportion also recorded:

  • Decreased sex drive
  • Impotence (inability to have or maintain an erection)
  • Decreased libido (interest in sex)
  • Decreased volume of ejaculate (amount of semen)
  • Problems with ejaculation
  • Breast tenderness and enlargement
  • Testicular pain

Severe side effects with Propecia UK must be promptly reported to your doctor.
